Another talented young artist showcasing her work at Balans No.60 Old Compton Street is Annie-Rose Fiddian-Green. The entrance wall to Balans No.60 has a burst of her colourful, bright artworks hung together in dramatic effect for the warmest of welcomes for Balans guests.
Often using earth as pigment in her paintings and rich textural colours, ‘my work looks to the human body with a movement, breath and heat as focuses. Whether its large-scale works or my smaller, colourful layered paintings, it’s the energetic magic of the living world that inspires me.’
Annie-Rose completed a BA Fine Art degree at City and Guilds of London Art School in 2018. Since graduating, she has made work for movies (recently as the artist behind the artwork created by Liam Neeson’s character ‘Robert Foster’ in his recent film Made in Italy); and had a number of exhibitions from Brazil to Australia and all over Europe.
This summer Annie-Rose has exhibited work in 4 group shows, painted large scale installations for public venues and is currently working towards her next solo show. Explore some of her public projects here
